Beguiled by the Wild Day Camp
On Wednesday, March 21st, from 9 am to 3 pm, Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure is inviting 5th-7th graders to discover their true “nature” at a one-day art and nature camp, Beguiled by the Wild: Designed to a Tee, during USD 305's spring break. In conjunction with Beguiled by the Wild: The Art of Charley Harper on exhibit in the Earl Bane Gallery, participants will explore the whimsical geometric graphics and the minimalist style of Charley Harper’s art before going out into the zoo for inspiration. Then, working with art teacher, Alicia Rini-Stott, students will create their own wearable art.
The Day Camp takes place at the Discovery Center at Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure. Tuition is $27.50 for members and $30 for non-members and includes the t-shirt, art supplies, and lunch. Open to students in 5th-7th grades, registration can be made by calling 785-827-9488 ext 117, or completing the enrollment form online at www.rollinghillswildlife.com. Enrollment is limited to 20 participants.
This program is funded in part by a grant from the L.P “Pat” Mullen Fund for Youth Arts & Humanities and the Greater Salina Community Foundation.
