Salina Public Library Seeking Avid Readers
Salina Reads is a community-wide reading program that encourages everyone in Salina to read the same book. The program will take place in September and October and will include discussions, prizes and other activities based on the selected book. The 2013 selection was “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” by Mark Haddon.
The selection committee will meet several times January through May. The group will meet in the early evening on week days. The exact times will be determined based on committee members’ schedules. Members will be asked to recommend books and narrow down the resulting list. The group will read 3-5 books in order to make a final selection.
Those interested in the Salina Reads book selection committee should contact Lori Berezovsky at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 825-4624, ext. 249, by Dec. 30.
